Spring is Here!

Even though Spring came to stay a week or so ago, today it really is official! I'm living in that small window of perfection that only comes twice a year to the Richmond area. All the windows are open and we are living on the front porch with warm breezes and sunshine.  Any day now a fog of pollen will descend upon us like a mighty plague with the unbearable heat quick to follow. 

Lots of blooms and buds and happy hot chihuahuas around here.  There are also lots of projects to start and to finish. Hopefully we can get a good start on them before the pollen and the heat get us down.

And now for something completely different.  I can excitedly report that this arrived on my doorstep yesterday!

Now I need a case. What do you think is the best? A sleeve, an envelope, a folio of some kind? There are lots of different styles with very different functions and I can't decide what would work best for me.  Any suggestions/ recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

And Now Back to Our Show...

Hello Blogland!  I have been away for what seems a very long time.  I had a lovely spring break getaway with my Husband and his family last week.  Now I am desperately trying to play catch-up to everything that got dropped while I was away.

Now that the pollen is in full bloom (as are my allergies, yuck!) and our yard is actually green (hallelujah!) I'm starting to think about outside projects again.  Let's pretend that this is really what the house and garden look like.

This, of course, is Wendy Posard's home from the March 2008 Cottage Living.  It's been all over for a long time now but I'm still pretending that it's mine.  I guess I should treat myself to a new pair of gardening gloves and get to work!

Spring Is Here!!

Now that it is officially Spring and warm days are starting to appear again I am starting to thing about all things fresh, light and new.  First up is this top I picked up over the weekend. 

I love the navy and white a bit of the acid greenish yellow that this print has.  It makes me very happy to wear it too.  Now, I need a room that needs these colors too!

Here's a great room that already translates this look pretty well.
